Dave Sarbell - VFX SUPERVISOR/ARTIST

A veteran of visual effects with feature fim credits including Pirates of the Caribbean (1 and 2), The Day After Tomorrow, Apocalypto, Team America, Deja Vu, X-Men, Dave has played an integral creative role in numerous U.S campaigns such as Nike, Coca Cola, Apple, Microsoft, Yahoo, Google.  winning Emmy awards for visual effects.

A strong diversity of skills has given Dave the opportunity to take on numerous roles in post/pre-production, including concept illustrations & designs, pre-visual animation, art direction, and set supervision.  

 

As a Senior Flame artist, colourist and VFX superisor, Dave brings twenty years of the highest quality VFX work any client can hope for.

Andrew MacDonald- Creative Director/Flame Artist/Owner

Before opening MUFFIN, Andy Mac served as creative director at Kilt studio’s, METHOD/RIOT and previously at CreoCollective. He has built his reputation and staff around the idea of artistic excellence and innovation. His background also includes service at Digital Domain as a senior visual effects supervisor. Collaborating with the top filmmakers in advertising, MacDonald was instrumental in the creation of classic spots for Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Isuzu, MCI and many other advertisers. His work was recognized by numerous awards including four Clios, a Bronze Lion at Cannes and several AICP Awards for excellence.

 

He began his career as a post production artist, working through such London post production companies as Rushes, The Mill and Moving Picture Company.

He went on to found several companies of his own, spanning a diverse range of creative and technical services. One of them, Hughes MacDonald, was the first independent visual effects firm in London. He is a member of BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Association). Mostly recently the Queen of England invited Andy for a BAFTA reception, which he attended, at Windsor Palace.
